Let’s go.
25 Things Christians Need to Do in 2025:
Spiritual Growth & Scriptural Focus
Prune distractions – Limit television, social media, and news consumption that fuels anxiety, division, or ungodly desires. Replace them with meaningful engagement.
Read and meditate on one book of the Bible deeply – Choose a specific book, such as Romans, Hebrews, or James, and study it repeatedly.
Focus on one Gospel – Read through Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John multiple times, reflecting on Jesus' teachings.
Listen to at least one worship song a day – Let worship shape your mindset and heart.
Memorize at least one Scripture passage a month – Hiding God’s Word in your heart strengthens faith and decision-making.
Pray at set times daily – Morning, midday, and evening prayers create a rhythm of devotion.
Develop a habit of gratitude – Identify and speak out 100 blessings daily, as practiced in Biblical tradition.
Engage in fasting – Set aside time to fast from food, take a break from media, and limit other distractions to refocus on God.
Intellectual & Theological Growth
Read classic Christian books (pre-1900) – Dive into works like Augustine’s "Confessions," John Wesley’s sermons, "The Imitation of Christ" by Thomas à Kempis, or "The Pilgrim’s Progress" by John Bunyan.
Learn about Church history – Understanding Christian roots helps combat misinformation and strengthens faith.
Study and compare the Amidah & the Lord’s Prayer – Recognize the depth of Jesus' teaching on prayer.
Read one theology book that stretches you – Explore systematic theology, pneumatology, or eschatology from a Wesleyan perspective.
Community & Church Engagement
Participate in corporate prayer – Join or start a weekly prayer group.
Engage deeply in your local church – Don’t just attend; serve, disciple, and lead where God calls you.
Practice hospitality – Invite someone new into your home for fellowship and conversation.
Commit to mentoring or discipling one person – Invest in another believer’s growth.
Evangelism & Cultural Engagement
Learn how to share the Gospel naturally – Evangelism is more than personal encounters; live out the Gospel and invite curiosity.
Develop a learning passion for politics – Study political systems and engage constructively without falling into negative political bashing.
Read and reflect on the prophets – Study Isaiah, Jeremiah, or Amos to see God’s heart for justice, righteousness, and society.
Support global missions or local outreach – Find a cause or missionary to pray for and support financially.
Personal Discipleship & Daily Habits
Simplify your life – Reduce unnecessary clutter, commitments, and distractions.
Set a goal for physical stewardship – Care for your body through exercise, nutrition, and rest as an act of worship.
Prune relationships that pull you away from God – Prioritize friendships that encourage faith.
Practice intentional silence & solitude – Step away from noise regularly to listen to God’s voice.
Keep a spiritual journal – Track what God is teaching you through Scripture, prayer, and life events.
Now that you’ve read this, don’t let it drown in the sea of information you consume daily. It’s easy to nod in agreement and move on—but the Holy Spirit is calling you to more. Let Him challenge you. Prune, grow, and step boldly into what God has for you. This isn’t just about personal growth—it’s about the Kingdom. Your faith, your discipline, your obedience—they matter. The Kingdom is counting on you. So take the next step, and follow through.
